À propos de l?auteur

Dr.C.B.Nirmala, Head, Department of Biotechnology, SRM Arts and Science College, postgraduated from the University of Madras in 1986 and pursued her Ph.D. (Botany) in the same University. Then she joined the Centre for Biotechnology, SPIC Science Foundation, Guindy, Chennai, as a Research Associate. She was awarded the Senior Scientist post in appreciation of her experiments on cloning the genes encoding carboxymethyl cellulase, glucanase and xylanase. She has published her research findings in national and international journals. G. Rajalakshmi, Lecturer, Department of Biotechnology, D.G. Vaishnav College, Chennai, is a gold medalist in B.Sc. Botany from Madurai Kamaraj University. She completed her M.Sc. Botany from Sri Parasakthi College, Courtallam, M.Phil. from Thiagarajar College, Madurai, and Ph.D. from CAS in Botany, University of Madras. She has thirteen years of teaching and research experience. She is Research Advisor to Bharathidasan University and is a member of the affiliation committee of the Madras University for the board of Biotechnology. Chandra Karthik did her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai and her Masters degree in Biotechnology from Guru Nanak Dev University, Punjab under the DBT scheme and M.Phil. in Biotechnology from Bharathidasan University. She worked as a lecturer in the Department of Biotechnology of D.G. Vaishnav College, Chennai. Currently she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences at Indiana University- Purdue University, Indianapolis, United States of America.
