Synopsis

This monograph examines the nature, scope, and foundational principles of Vedic science and technology in ancient India. It aims to provide a systematic framework for understanding how scientific knowledge and technological practices were conceptualized, developed, and transmitted within the Vedic intellectual tradition. Unlike earlier discussions that treat Vedic knowledge either purely as religious literature or as scattered references to practical knowledge, this study attempts to define Vedic science and technology as a coherent domain of inquiry rooted in the philosophical, cosmological, and empirical traditions of ancient India.
