Classes at rajdhani college, university of delhi for more than 37 years. He is author of three other books on organic chemistry for graduate students. He has also to his credit a number of research publications in indian and foreign journals.

For more than 37 years, S.P. Bhutani has taught organic chemistry at Rajdhani College, University of Delhi. He received the Prof. R.P. Mitra Gold Medal in M.Sc. from the University of Delhi and earned his Ph.D. on the chemistry of natural products from there as well.
