VENNELAKANTI PRAKASAM (1943) is a Telugu speaker of Telugurayapuram of PSR Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh. He did his M.A. in English (Nagpur, 1964), D. Phil in Linguistics (York 1972), Ph. D in Law (Nalsar Law University, 2013). Taught Linguistics, Stylistics and English Grammar at Osmania University, Punjabi University and English and Foreign Languages University. He was a Fulbright Fellow (1985) at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and the University of California at Berkeley. He guided more than forty scholars doing their M.Phil and Ph.D. He has published research papers and books in English and Telugu dealing with Linguistics, Stylistics, Comparative religious studies, Ambedkar Studies, Semiotics, Forensic Linguistics, Homeopathy, Grammar of English, and of Telugu.
