Synopsis
Maya Goded Colichio es una reconocida fotógrafa y cineasta documental mexicana, cuyo trabajo se centra en temas como la violencia de género y la vida de comunidades marginadas. A través de su obra, explora las complejidades y desafíos que enfrentan las mujeres en la sociedad mexicana.
El rastro de la serpiente combina fotografía, poesía, testimonio y ensayo para dar forma a un viaje íntimo, político y espiritual.
A través de imágenes, relatos orales, archivos históricos y reflexiones filosóficas, El rastro de la serpiente se convierte en un canto colectivo de resistencia. Entre sus páginas resuenan las voces de mujeres que, a pesar del despojo, cuidan la vida, sanan, cantan y recuerdan.
El diseño del libro es verdaderamente único, compuesto por tres cuadernillos que se entrelazan. Los dos primeros están diseñados para ser leídos simultáneamente, guiando al lector hasta el tercer cuadernillo en el centro.
Maya Goded nos conduce por territorios heridos―desde el desierto de Atacama hasta las selvas de Chiapas―donde el cuerpo de la tierra y los cuerpos de las mujeres son escenario y testigo de violencias históricas, extractivismo y olvido. Este proyecto nace de una búsqueda personal: la autora explora su linaje materno y su historia familiar, marcada por guerras, migraciones y abusos, estableciendo paralelismos con las experiencias de mujeres indígenas, mineras, curanderas y defensoras del territorio. La serpiente, símbolo ancestral de transformación y sabiduría femenina, se convierte en el hilo conductor de esta narrativa en espiral, que abraza lo cíclico frente a la lógica lineal y patriarcal del progreso destructivo. El libro es un acto ritual de memoria, duelo y renacimiento―una propuesta ecofeminista que reimagina la relación entre humanidad y naturaleza desde la raíz, desde lo femenino, desde la serpiente.
