A trip through the universe of Chema Madoz. This is the first review of the work of one of the most renowned, personal and evocative photographers as well as a profound, exhaustive analysis of more than three hundred images ranging from his first photographs to those most recent. In photographs by Madoz, objects change, blend pacifically and seem to float or belong to places out of time and reality. Photography becomes a way to create language or poetry based on fragile familiar yet surprising images. His evocative shots alter our perception and viewers find multiple meanings within them.
Jose Maria Rodriguez Madoz (b.1958) better known as Chema Madoz, is a Spanish photographer best known for his black and white surrealist photographs.
