Ce livre commence avec les structures géométriques simples pour évoluer vers des formes plus complexes à partir de différentes déformations et reproductions. Le but n'est pas de montrer des bijoux finis mais plutôt de proposer des outils pour donner au lecteur une méthode de travail lui permettant de représenter correctement ses idées. Des projections orthogonales et axonométriques aux techniques de dessin (aquarelle, tempera, encre, technique mixte) en passant par les différents supports possibles, le lecteur trouvera une base de laquelle s'inspirer pour élaborer ses propres créations. Dans ce livre, des bagues, tiares, pierres précieuses, bracelets et chaînes sont représentés comme s'ils étaient réels, avec des effets comme la profondeur, la brillance et la transparence.

Manuela Brambatti a débuté sa carrière dans le monde de la mode à la fin des années 1970 en travaillant pour Style et d'autres magazines de mode. Elle a travaillé en collaboration avec Giorgio Correggiari, Krizia et Gian Marco Venturi, mais son expérience la plus importante et ambitieuse est son travail d'illustrateur en chef avec Gianni Versace pendant 30 ans, où elle a joué un rôle essentiel dans la définition des normes de présentation et d'illustration des collections de mode et Home. Elle travaille actuellement en freelance en tant qu'illustratrice dans les industries de la mode, de la joaillerie et du design. Elle est l'auteure du best-seller Fashion Illustration And Design publié par Promopress.
Cosimo Vinci a étudié la création de bijoux à Florence et à Vicence. Ses clients sont des entreprises internationales, petites et grandes, allant de la haute joaillerie aux simples bijoux. Les styles vont de l'exclusif et contemporain au jeune et amusant. Il a conçu des bijoux pour de célèbres marques de mode comme Versace, Versus, Balmain, Montana, Laura Biagiotti, Valentino et Etro. Depuis 1998, il enseigne à l'École d'Art et d'Artisanat de Vicence et dirige des séminaires dans de nombreux pays sur ce sujet. En 2011, Cosimo Vinci gagne la compétition de design Bijoux d'Autore de l'Associazione Gioiello Contemporaneo (Association contemporaine de joaillerie)
