Antonio Donnanno fait son apprentissage comme tailleur dans l'atelier familial. Licencié en philosophie et en histoire, il décide de se consacrer à l'enseignement de l'histoire du vêtement et des techniques de modélisme. Il fonde en 1982 la célèbre Euromode School Italia de Bergame, qui se développe rapidement et acquiert une renommée mondiale. Antonio Donnanno a écrit de nombreux ouvrages consacrés à la mode et dirige son cabinet conseil axé sur la création de patrons et la gestion d'entreprise.
