Atlas de Jan Hendrix presenta un conjunto de mapas y coordenadas con los que recorrer casi medio siglo de práctica gráfica; desde los primeros años de formación de Hendrix en la Jan van Eyck Academie, en su Holanda natal, hasta sus más recientes ensayos sobre sombras, producto de caminatas diarias por la Ciudad de México. Una cartografía compuesta de imágenes y textos, dispuestos en forma de ensayos paralelos: un caprichoso conjunto de láminas de botánica, paisaje, naturaleza y poesía, acompañado de ensayos firmados por algunos de los compañeros de trayectoria de Jan (Estrella de Diego, Patricia Sloane, Olivier Debroise, Issa María Benítez, Antonio Saborit, Cuauhtémoc Medina, Alejandro Hernández, Javier Barreiro Cavestany, José Luis Barrios). Se incluyen, además, textos breves en los que Hendrix reflexiona sobre su práctica artística y una introducción de Maco Sánchez, editora de esta publicación, que es resultado de una lectura del extenso archivo del artista.
