These multidisciplinary essays centre on the Rhodian "demes", relations between Rhodes and the Rhodian Peraia, the marginalization of Crete in Greek thought, the role of piracy in the outbreak of the First Cretan War, and the Eastern Mediterranean Wine Trade.
