Synopsis

Internet of Things (IoT) deals with the interconnection of devices that can communicate with each other over the internet. Currently, several smart systems have evolved with the evolution in IoT. Cognitive Radio - an enabler for Internet of Things is a research level subject for all communication engineering students at undergraduate, post graduate and research levels. À propos des auteurs

R. Kalidoss is an Associate Professor in Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Chennai. His current research interests include Adaptive Channel Modelling in Cognitive Radio, Advanced Spectrum Utilization and Cognitive Radio architecture. He has published many research articles in refereed International/National Journals/Conferences.

M. A. Bhagyaveni graduated from Government college of Technology, Coimbatore and completed her M.E and Ph.D from College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Chennai. Presently she is a Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering at College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai. Her field of interest includes Cognitive radio, Ad hoc Networks, Wireless sensor networks, Wireless communication. She has completed two projects, one for CVRDE and other for DST. She is the recipient of young scientist award from DST. She has got two best research paper award in international conferences. She has published more than 70 research paper in reputed Journals and Conferences.

S. Shanmugavel graduated from Madras Institute of Technology in Electronics and Communication engineering in 1978. He obtained his Ph.D degree in the area of coded communication and spread spectrum techniques from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, in 1989. He joined as faculty in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIT, Kharagpur, as a Lecturer in 1987 and became an Assistant Professor in 1991. Later, he joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Chennai India and retired on superannuation as Professor in 2014. He served as Director, Centre for Affiliation and as Registrar at Anna University, Chennai for four years. Presently he is working as Principal at National Engineering College, Kovilpatti. He has published more than 110 research papers in National and International Conferences and 70 research papers in referred journals. He has guided 20 Ph.D scholars in the area of Wireless Communication, Mobile Adhoc Networks and ATM Networks. He received IETE-CDIL award in 2000 and IETE-SK Mitra award for the best paper published in IETE Journal of research in the year 2004. He visited University of Central Florida, University of Illinois and Nebraska University in USA under TEQIP. He led the Anna University delegation to various universities and R&D laboratories in France, Japan and Switzerland.
