This book is dedicated to Eve Arnold (Philadelphia 1912 - London 2012), one of the major photographers of the XXth century, as well as the first woman to become associated with Magnum Photos in 1951 and then a full member in 1957. Through one hundred and twenty-eight black & white and color photographs, we go through her long career, during which she was equally comfortable documenting the glamour of celebrities and Hollywood stars - among whom Marilyn Monroe, who was also Eve Arnold's friend, Joan Crawford, Liz Taylor, Marlene Dietrich - as well as the poor and dispossessed.
