Créé en 2000 pour mettre en lumière le foisonnement créatif de la scène artistique française, le prix Marcel Duchamp distingue chaque année un lauréat parmi quatre artistes français ou résidant en France travaillant dans le domaine des arts plastiques et visuels. Lambition de ce prix de collectionneurs est de rassembler les artistes les plus novateurs de leur génération et de les aider à développer leur visibilité en France et dans le monde. Organisé depuis lorigine en partenariat avec le Centre Pompidou et doté de 35 000 euros, il est considéré aujourdhui comme lun des plus pertinents vecteurs dinformation sur lart contemporain en France et lun des grands prix nationaux de référence dans le monde. Gilles Fuchs, Président de lADIAF, a dévoilé le 10 janvier chez ARTCURIAL les noms des quatre artistes nommés pour le Prix Marcel Duchamp 2019. « Le prix Marcel Duchamp a pris un nouvel élan en 2016 avec lexposition collective des quatre artistes nommés présentée pendant trois mois au Centre Pompidou au sein des 650 m2 de la Galerie 4. Les quatre artistes ont été sélectionnés par onze collectionneurs de lADIAF. Le lauréat sera choisi par un jury international de collectionneurs et directeurs de grandes institutions. Lannonce du lauréat sera faîte au Centre Pompidou le lundi 14 octobre 2019. En Octobre dernier, cest Clément Cogitore qui a remporté le prestigieux prix lors de lédition 2018.
