Il Pantheon è il più integro tra i monumenti antichi di Roma e la sua magnificenza ha sempre suscitato ammirazione e stupore. Fin dal Rinascimento ha costituito uno dei più importanti modelli dell'architettura, rappresentando la massima testimonianza della tecnica costruttiva antica e un imprescindibile punto di riferimento per la progettazione di edifici a pianta centrale. Oggi finalmente è possibile creare, con il supporto dell'informatica, un riproduzione quasi perfetta di qualsiasi monumento, permettendo allo studioso di analizzare e interpretare, al restauratore di progettare la conservazione e al pubblico di godersi l'opera. Il DVD-ROM allegato al volume contiene un modello tridimensionale a navigazione libera che consente all'osservatore di cogliere il Pantheon nel suo insieme. Il modello, completamente ispezionabile e visualizzabile, consente inoltre di richiedere in tempo reale informazioni di qualsiasi genere e forma (fotografie, schede tecniche, documenti audiovisivi, disegni tecnici, relazioni di indagini non invasive, etc.).
