Carlo Batà is an author, editor and freelance translator. He has worked with various Italian newspapers and coordinates the cataloguing of the image bank Mondadori Portfolio. He has taught Spanish and Latin American Language and Literature at the Università degli Studi di Napoli L Orientale and has published biographies of various politicians of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Roberto Mottadelli is a historian specialising in nineteenth century art. He is currently working on a research project; The History of the Cinema at the University of Milan. He has written for several Italian magazines and for White Star has written Giro del mondo a tavola and edited the publication of The 100 Photographs that Changed the World.
