À propos de l'auteur

Gianni Mercurio, exhibition curator and essayist, is one of the top Pop Art experts in Europe. For Skira he has published, among other things, the volumes for the anthological exhibitions he curated: Andy Warhol (Milan, 2004; Rome, 2006); Keith Haring (Milan, 2005; Lyon, 2008); Jean-Michel Basquiat (Milan, 2006). Demetrio Paparoni is a curator and theoretician of contemporary art. In 1983 he founded the contemporary art magazine Tema Celeste that he edited until 2000. He taught the history of contemporary art in the Faculty of Architecture, Catania. He is the author of numerous books and monothematic studies. He has recently published Eretica. The Transcendent and the Profane in Contemporary Art (Milan: Skira, 2006), also issued in France and the USA. He has written essays for the anthological exhibition catalogs devoted to the work of Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Edward Hopper. Robert Pincus-Witten is an art historian, curator and critic of note. Professor Emeritus of the Graduate Center and Queens College, City University of New York. Author of numerous books, essays and catalogs on modern and contemporary art, his anthology Postminimalism named the most critical shift in the artistic sensibility of the 1960s. After his retirement from academia he became the Director of Exhibitions of the Gagosian Gallery, New York and L&M Arts, New York. Currently, he is Contributing Editor of Artforum. Annabelle Ténèze is a keeper at the Musée National Picasso in Paris. She is the author of essays on the use of quotations in the work of Pablo Picasso and of Pop artists. Frederic Tuten is the author of five novels: The Adventures of Mao on the Long March; Tallien: A Brief Romance; Tintin in the New World; Van Gogh 's Bad Café; and The Green Hour. He has written on art, film and literature for such publications as Artforum, Art in America, The New York Times, Vogue.
