Die erste Monografie des jungen New Yorker Fotografen. I want to fill things with magic, love, celebration sagt David Benjamin Sherry über seine Fotografie. Als Teil der jungen Künstlergruppe um Ryan McGinley, Dash Snow, Dan Colen hat er in letzter Zeit einige grandiose und viel beachtete Strecken in Zeitschriften wie Dazed and Confused, Purple, I-d und der japanischen Vogue veröffentlicht. In seiner ersten Monografie zeigt Sherry einen Querschnitt seiner bisherigen Arbeiten. Eine Einführung in Sherry´s Werk gibt Neville Wakefield.
Biographie de l'auteur
Born in 1981, David Benjamin Sherry was trained at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence and the Yale School of Art in New Haven. His most significant exhibitions include: Bellwether Gallery, New York (2009); Andre Schlechtriem Contemporary, Berlin (2008); Galerie Lisa Ruyter, Vienna (2006). He lives and works in New York.
