Hardcover. Etat : Good. First edition. Folio [32.5 cm] Illustrated paper over boards. Blue and silver patterned endpapers. The text block is cracked at the beginning and end, but it is still very sturdy. Text in English, Italian, German, Spanish, and French. Belvedere Design Book, Fashion, Textiles, Graphic Designs, Volume 26. From the text- "An extensive range of dress-fabric motifs, all taken from an original collection covering the years between 1940 - 1970. All the plates in the present book illustrate monochrome designs which show graphic, floral & geometric motifs as well as abstract designs in their optical effects. They bear living witness to the creativity & fashion-consciousness of the period in question, whose trends in style & taste they reflect without question. With its over 1000 ideas & models this book is an inexhaustible storehouse of practical & useful patterns and a real treasure-trove for textile designers, stylists & people in the fashion business, for textile printers, commercial artists and for those interested in structures, monotones and abstract forms.".
