Reinhard Neudecker has been professor of rabbinic literature at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome since 1978. He is the author of numerous publications in the field of rabbinic literature (especially with regard to its importance for the study of the Old and New Testaments), of Jewish-Christian relations, and of interreligious discourse on a wider scale. The International Catholic Organization of the Media (UCIP) conferred on him the International Award for Inter-religious Dialogue 2010.
