Synopsis

Psychological Understanding of Religious BehaviorIn the mid-1950s, the renaissance of religious studies arose. As psychology has established a stable position in terms of scientific methodology, there has been a renewed interest in religious studies. The studies at this time focused on the unique theme of religion rather than a mere guess or giant theory. In other words, empirical psychology of religion emerged. The empirical psychology of religion was perceived as requiring demonstration of religion, although it faced the limitations of methodology because it needed verification. Although the content of this book focuses primarily on Christianity, many topics between psychology and religion are covered in this book, which can be applied to Buddhism and other religions as well. The terms and expressions used in this book depend on my knowledge of the subject and are consistent with the terms and expressions commonly used by domestic psychology majors in accordance with APA (American Psychological Association) method.
