Lourelle AM Neethling, Ph.D. (2016), Department of Zoology, University of Johannesburg is an Assistant lecturer at that university. She has published various papers on Branchiura and the compendium flowed from work done for her thesis. Annemariè Avenant-Oldewage, Ph.D. (1988), Department of Zoology, University of Johannesburg is the Head of the Department and a Full Professor. She has published various papers on fish parasites and trained more than 50 Post graduate students.
