Philo of Alexandria (died c. 50 CE) is famous for his complex and spiritually rich allegorical treatises on the Greek Bible. This volume continues the series on the interpretation of Noah, focussing on his planting of a vineyard in Gen 9:20.

Albert C. Geljon teaches classical languages at the Christelijk Gymnasium in Utrecht, The Netherlands. He is the author of Philonic Exegesis in Gregory of Nyssas De vita Moysis (2002). Together with David T. Runia he previously published Philo of Alexandria On Cultivation in the same series (2013). David T. Runia is Professorial Fellow in the School of Historical and Philosophical Studies at the University of Melbourne and Honorary Professor in the Institute of Religion and Critical Inquiry, Australian Catholic University. He has published extensively on Philo of Alexandria and has been the editor of The Studia Philonica Annual since 1989.
