Synopsis
At EC level the fight agains AIDS, as one of the major health problems and socioeconomic diseases of today, is part of a specific RTD programme in the field of biomedicine and health. About 600 research teams are collaborating within 30 concerned actions that are underpinned by centralized facilitating. This text presents an overview of their ongoing research activities in disease control and prevention, viroimmunological research, clinical research and vaccine development.
