Pia Burrick ontwerpt glas(-in-lood) creaties voor interieur en architectuur. In nauwe samenwerking met architecten vormt haar werk een subtiel ge�ntegreerde toegevoegde waarde bij een nieuwbouw- of renovatieproject. Rekening houdend met tal van factoren - niet in het minst met de spelingen van het licht - legt Burrick accenten die het verhaal van een huis af maken. Haar lijnen van lood bakenen af en vertellen. Glas en lood hebben voor haar nog amper geheimen. Naast dit meer 'dienend' werk is er een heel eigen artistiek oeuvre van decoratieve glas-inloodramen over beschilderde glazen schotels en glasjuwelen tot eigen gebrandschilderd figuratief werk en glasinstallaties, waarbij technieken zoals etsen, fusing en zandstralen gebruikt worden. Nog maar zelden staan praktische bezwaren het vormgeven van haar fantasie�n in de weg. Haar hele oeuvre getuigt van een harmonieus spel van lijnen en vlakken op zoek naar de ultieme verhouding tussen lijn en leegte, kleur en transparantie, beeld en schaduw.
