Synopsis

At the heart of all the world's religions there exists a common body of knowledge referred to as the Ageless Wisdom. Throughout history it has been the foundation upon which the superstructures of all organized religion have been built, knowingly or not.

The Christian Bible is, in fact, one of the great repositories of Ageless Wisdom teachings for those with eyes to see and ears to hear. In The Joy of Christ's Coming, Howard Ray Carey draws back the veil from some of the Bible's most important events, parables and teachings to reveal their powerful, hidden meanings -- as relevant today as they were 2,000 years ago.

He invites us to: Explore new dimensions within the parables of the prodigal son, the wise and foolish virgins, and the good Samaritan. Grasp the deeper message in such events as the battle of Jericho, the
stilling of the stormy sea, and Paul's escape from prison. Experience the five major events in Jesus' life as a symbolic portrayal of our own spiritual journey. And hear the similarity between Christ's message in Palestine and what He is telling us today.

While this book uses Ageless Wisdom keys to unlock the mysteries of the Christian Bible, it is equally relevant to all the great scriptures, and is therefore a valuable tool

Howard Ray Carey (1903-1989) was a Methodist minister for more than half a century. Then, for over 20 years, he built spiritual bridges between Christianity and the Ageless Wisdom teachings. In 1967, while actively serving a Southern California congregation, he was introduced to the Ageless Wisdom. Recognizing its universal and exceptionally practical message, he began to incorporate many of its principles and concepts into his ministry. As a study and meditation group leader, he has helped countless parishioners and students find new meaning in their personal lives by broadening their view of the Spiritual Life.
