Etat : very good. Amsterdam : De Appel, 1992. Orig. brown cloth binding. [92] pp. : ills. 21x17 cm. English text. Book design Irma Boom. - This publication accompanied the 1992 exhibition at art gallery De Appel in Amsterdam, which brought together works by Barbara Bloom, Ren;e Daniels, Thierry de Cordier, Lili Dujoune, Marlene Dumas, Rodney Graham, Niek Kemps, Louise Lawler, Anette Lemeiux, Sherrie Levine, Thomas Locher, Allan McCollum, Reinhard Mucha, Marcel Odenbach, Thomas Schütte, Jan Vercruysse, Rémy Zaugg. The show brought together leading international artists whose practices explored inner states, perception, memory, and the constructed nature of images and objects. Rather than presenting literal 'landscapes,' the exhibition proposed psychological and conceptual interiors : spaces shaped by language, ideology, and cultural memory. The participating artists worked with appropriation, text, photography, sculpture, and installation to question authorship, representation, and institutional power. Many of the works reflected on how meaning is framed, repeated, or emptied through systems of display and reproduction. Inscapes captured a defining moment in early-1990s conceptual and postmodern art, emphasizing reflexivity, critical distance, and the collapse of boundaries between inner experience and cultural structures. Condition : very good copy. ISBN 9789073501157. Keywords : ART, N° de réf. du vendeur 306308
