Synopsis

Meet Penny - An elegant choc-point Siamese with nine lives, fluent Italian, an unauthorised university education, and rather a lot of attitude.

Every cat has nine lives. Penny is spending one of hers as the secret resident genius of a grand old Sydney university, sneaking into lectures, napping on rare first editions, and appointing herself Chief Rodent Officer to the long-suffering Professor Eagle. As the university's annual charity Dog Show approaches, the campus descends into glorious chaos. Professor Poppett is training her poodle for glory, while the Dean and the scheming Head of University Buildings, Mad Malcolm, plot to sabotage her chances and steal the trophy for themselves. Meanwhile, in the Museum next door, the bashful curator and the dog groomer are falling helplessly, awkwardly in love. And somewhere above it all, Penny is dodging the ancient stone gargoyles brooding on the rooftops who have taken a distinct, carnivorous interest in her.

The University Cat: A Tale for Grown-Ups & Graduates is the first book in the CyberCat Series: clever, tender, gently funny fiction for anyone who has ever suspected their cat was smarter than they let on.

For YA and Adults of all Ages
