Synopsis

This text begins with a basic introduction to pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamic modelling principles for scientists with minimal formal training in the area. There are chapters on NCA, non-linear kinetics (capacity, time, flow and binding), turnover concepts, pulsative functions, push-and-pull and precursor models. Determination of initial parameter estimates for complex models, binding and displacement models and toxicokinetic models are also included.
