Synopsis
The main objective of Copernicus is to enable the countries of Central Europe and the New Independent States of the Soviet Union, whose levels of development differ widely, to be associated with the generation of knowledge and innovative techniques needed to solve their specific problems and to achieve sustainable economic development. Copernicus 1996 is focused on transferring and developing knowledge and technologies which are likely to contribute to the stabilization of Research and Technological Development (RTD), environment and health and RTD directed towards industry. The main part of this volume provides synopses of the selected projects of Copernicus 1996, grouped in 12 parts by research sector.
