In Lessons From a School Leader: What Experience Teaches Beyond Theory, G S Madhav Rao reflects on a question many educators continue to face: How do educational ideas and theories truly work in the reality of a school? Drawing from decades of experience across classrooms, schools, and educational organisations, he explores leadership not as theory, but as practice shaped by people, context, relationships, and everyday decisions. Rather than offering fixed formulas, the book presents leadership as a reflective journey built through experience, challenges, conversations, and continuous learning. Thoughtful, honest, and grounded in lived experience, this book is an invitation for school leaders and aspiring educators to reflect, question, and grow.
