About the Author: -Syed Ali Asgar Bilgrami, Asaf Jahi was an Indian distinguished author, journalist and editor of a national daily. Bilgrami, who served as officiating director of Hyderabad State archaeology department in the early 1920s, wrote in his book, Landmarks of Deccan. It is a comprehensive guide to the archaeological remains of the city and suburbs of Hyderabad, that 'In the Qutub Shahi' period the first storey was used as a madrasa and cubicle for students. He wrote 18 books and published 37 papers in different journals in four languages. He had linked in 188 library holdings which itself certified his popularity.
