Arvind Mandloi spent most of his childhood in penury and without a permanent home, and barely managed to get a basic primary education. It is life’s experiences, however, that helped Mandloi evolve as a person. With an avid interest towards reading and writing, he began his career as a journalist. He has been associated with Roopankan in Indore, a multipurpose space dedicated to cultural activities such as reading, learning, painting, acting, singing, etc. He has also authored three best selling books―Khwab Ke Gaon Mein, Awaaz Do Hum Ek Hai and Sahir Ki Shayrana Jadugari. He has passed on the proceeds from the sale of his books to Roopankan for the welfare of underprivileged children. When he is not writing, he manages his own business.
