Bhaskaran Raman is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He has a BTech in CSE from IIT Madras (1997), an MS+PhD in CS from U.C.Berkeley (2002). Since the declaration of the Covid-19 pandemic, he has closely followed data and statistics related to Covid-19 and the world's response to the same. He has been vocal against extreme and harmful measures such as lockdowns, school closures, vaccine mandates, and inadequately tested jabs for children. He maintains the website "Understand, Unclog, Unpanic, Unscare, Unlock (U5) India" https: //tinyurl.com/u5india . In December 2021, he launched the campaign "Happy 2022, Happy for Kids Too", advocating for a normal and enjoyable childhood for all children, at https: //happy22kids.org . He is one of the founding members of the "Universal Health Organisation" (UHO), whose goal is to promote transparency, empowerment, and accountability in public health: https: //uho.org.in .
