Water quality modeling is critical for understanding the complex interactions among temperature, biological oxygen demand, dissolved oxygen, salinity, and eutrophication in both freshwater and marine environments. Numerical models must be calibrated and properly applied to improve our understanding of these interactions and support effective water quality management.
