Arthur Hamilton Gibbs, an English-American novelist, hailed from a literary family, counting among his siblings Cosmo Hamilton and Sir Philip Gibbs. In 1931, Gibbs became a naturalized US citizen, subsequently making his home primarily in Lakeville, Massachusetts.
