Through my interviews on national TV channels and radio, writing articles in newspapers, and interacting with psoriasis patients I gained a deeper understanding of what patients want to know about psoriasis. Patients wanted simple answers. They wanted someone who would clear their doubts with patience and care. Very few professional doctors can communicate with a patient without confusing them. I discovered that answering their questions called for a unique art and science. While answering their questions, I also learned new things about psoriasis, understood the disease better and felt the need to spread this knowledge to others. Existing books on psoriasis are full of technical data as they were written for doctors. No single book directly addresses a psoriasis patient. I realised the need for a book that explained the disease in simple language. Therefore, I dedicate this book to all my patients and any one with psoriasis or a family history of psoriasis.
