About The Book: The Silver Question and the Gold Question by Robert Barclay explores the economic and monetary debates of the 19th century regarding the use of silver and gold as currency standards. He critiques the shift toward the gold standard, arguing it caused deflation, economic hardship, and inequality. The work emphasizes the need for a fair and balanced monetary system that includes silver to ensure broader economic stability and benefit for both developed and developing nations within global commerce.
