Synopsis

About the Book

When Ira Sen arrives at her ancestral estate tucked away from the rest of the world, she steps into more than history—she enters a living echo of grief, ritual, and unspoken truths.

Within its marigold-covered walls, shadows breathe and old secrets stir. Each door she opens and each memory she uncovers leads her deeper into a legacy forged by silence and velvet chains.

But not all chains are meant to be broken, and not all ghosts stay buried.

About the Author

An orthopaedic surgeon by profession and a creator of shadows by passion, Dr. Raja Nag makes his literary debut with a gothic tale born from quiet corridors, forgotten places, and the mysteries that linger at the edges of everyday life.

Born and brought up in Tripura, he completed his post-graduation in 2020 and currently serves at the District Hospital of North Tripura. Between the intensity of medical practice and the stillness of the Northeast’s landscapes, he discovered a world of stories—dark, atmospheric, and deeply human.

This novel marks the beginning of his journey into fiction, where science meets superstition, reality brushes against the uncanny, and his unique voice transforms ordinary moments into haunting narratives.
