Synopsis

This novel in essence is the journey of the soul of a nation. It is a scholarly exposition and an emotionally charged story that studies the past to build a new future.

Swaha is a descendent of freedom fighters and is inspired by the dreams of the founding fathers of India. Especially "fraternity assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation". She questions what a nation is, looks for the roots of the Indic culture, and finds solutions to solve the problems of unity.

Swaha meets people of plural identities that define the composite nature of her nation's evolving culture. They live through many disintegrations that checker the modern history of the three countries born of the same nation. But these only make them more determined to work out integration.

Swaha and her friends try out many conflict resolution techniques, but will they be able to spread love amongst the peoples of the three countries-who were one nation not too long ago?
