Synopsis

The field of library and information science is evolving in response to the changing environment, with the advent of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) facilitating the provision of traditional library services and the development of new methods for information dissemination using the latest technological tools. Therefore, the application of ICTs is crucial in meeting the current information needs of stakeholders. Users now have access to a wide range of libraries and information sources, which can only be made possible through the development of digital libraries. However, access to information remains a challenge that must be addressed by developing digital libraries on suitable platforms. To address these emerging issues, the editors have invited contributors to submit relevant papers, resulting in this book which covers some of the emerging topics in digital libraries that are of particular relevance to library and information professionals.
