Anil Anand was the Director, Reactor Projects Group, leading the Programme for Nuclear Propulsion for the Indian Nuclear Submarine Programme. He finished his mechanical engineering from BHU in 1961 and joined Atomic Energy, where he did his post-graduation in Nuclear Science and Technology. At the time of retirement from Dept. of Atomic Energy on 30.11.2001, he was Director, Technical Coordination and International Relations Group, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, and DIRECTOR, Reactor Projects Group, leading the Programme for Nuclear Propulsion for the Indian Nuclear Submarine Programme. He was also the Executive Director, Kudankulam Project, in Nuclear Power Corporation. After retirement from BARC, he was Scientific Consultant, in the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government from February 2002 to February 2008 At present, he is Director Technical, Microtrol Sterilisation Services Private Ltd. Mumbai where he designs the Ethylene Oxide, Gamma sterilization plants for, sterilization of disposable medical devices and for bio burden reduction of Spices. His Biography/Autobiography ‘THE SECOND STRIKE’ was published and released by Director BARC on September 14, 2014.
