Prof. (Dr.) Nitin Raghunath Karmalkar is the Hon`ble Vice-Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University. Prof. Karmalkar, a former Head of the Department of Environmental Science, and Department of Geology, is a well-known scientist in the field of Igneous Petrology.
