Synopsis
The modern age is the age of Science. Science has played a vital role in creating modern society by developing technological know-how. In other words, the main thrust of modern science has been toward the sanskāras of material things. Here, there is a basic difference between Vedic Science and modern science. Vedic science also gave thrust to the saṁskāras of human beings in addition to material things. According to Vedic science, a human being who has not undergone a particular process of saṁskāras remains in his crude form and is recognized as no better than an animal. In Vedic culture, 16 Sanskāras have been laid down as a process for transforming human beings.
The present book contains a scientific explanation and detailed description of the 16 sanskāras as explained and elucidated by Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati in his Sanskāra Vidhi. All mantras quoted by Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati in his Sanskāra Vidhi have been rendered with Sanskrit text, Roman transliteration and Engish translation for the first time for easy understanding of readers, researchers and chaplains.
