Sixteen images from the period 2000-2012 were selected for this book by Elspeth Diederix and designer Katja van Stiphout, each of which is preceded by an accumulation of studies from Diederix's huge archive, forming a collection of images that belong to the same cloud of works. Each photographic study can be seen as a forerunner of the sixteen images, which Diederix had previously qualified as final. In addition, a number of images which had not yet undergone the stage of research and study were specially finalized for this publication.
