Webu Sayadaw (1896–1977) was a highly respected Burmese Theravāda Buddhist monk and meditation master, best known for emphasizing diligent practice over scholastic study. His teachings focus on mindfulness of breathing (ānāpānasati) as the direct path to insight and Nibbāna.
