Softcover. Etat : Fine. Leichte Risse. What makes a book a book? London-based design team Tim Balaam and Kate Sclater, collectively Hyperkit, stretch the boundaries of usual book definition. In this publication they invite reader interaction to make your own dinner place mat, colour in, use it as a unit of measurement, a photo album and for stencilling fonts. The cover is coated in a sturdy white plastic, the front complete with paper flyer inviting you to change your perception of how a book is used and how it behaves. paperback. Etat : Good. Our good condition books are generally good for reading but not for gifting or collecting. They could have imperfections such as creasing, fanning, inscriptions, margin notes, yellowing, staining on edge or cover or pages, bumps, scuffs, etc etc (sometimes multiple of these). It's a wide category that encompasses anything that isn't almost-new down to anything that is slightly better than poor. We would NOT recommend gifting Good books - these should be considered reading copies. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only. Hardcover. Etat : Used - Very Good. Objects at their actual size and shape â" Change your perception of how a book is used and how it behaves. A collection of investigations into and fascinations with the scale of objects; intended to be practical and thought-provoking. Life Size is a book project by Hyperkit, inspired by Do-It-Yourself and homecraft manuals. This book is a collection of ideas, fascinations and frustrations; with object language, the creation of new spaces, navigation, scale and colour. It was conceived as a site-specific project, with content being formatted according to two primary themes. The first theme looks at using the constraints of the book as a unit of measurement, to highlight the size of the objects being represented. This dictates how the objects are displayed, whether it be on one page or across a series of pages. Through showing these objects at life size within the format of the book, the reader is encouraged to engage with them in a different way. The second theme concentrates on the design and creation of objects that, through the readerâs participation, can be used within real life situations, such as a place setting at a dinner table. By incorporating these objects, our ambition is to change the readerâs perception of what a book can be and how it behaves. It is our intention that content in this book is not interpreted as documentation, but is seen to exist as the actual artefact. Book has minor shelf wear. Creasing on upper left corner of back cover. Sold as is. N° de réf. du vendeur 20110219132168
