Synopsis

Eli has left his life as a motorcycle-riding chef in Manhattan’s top restaurants in order to live in a caravan in the hills of Gush Etzion, just south of Jerusalem. Tortured by the sins of his past, he engages in daily ablutions in cold springs followed by intense prayer and meditation. But the grim reality is that a Jew who hearkens to God’s call is targeted by evil. Eli falters as holy Jews are murdered and then, his pregnant wife is attacked by an Arab with a knife.

The Master of Return and the Eleventh Light is a semi-fictionalized account of the lives of devout Jews answering the prophetic call to return to the Biblical heartland of Judea.
