Synopsis
This is the English translation of Kitab al-Ta'arruf li Madhab Ahl al-Tasawwuf of Kalabadhi. This is an authoritative work on Sufi doctrine, and many commentaries were written upon it by a number of eminent writers. The esteem in which it was held by so illustrious an author as Suhrwardi Maqtul is indicated by his much quoted "But for the Ta'arruf we should not have known Sufism."
