Synopsis
This Urdu qaida is for children and adults whose primary language is English. It begins with the phonics of the Urdu alphabet along with English letters to make learning easy for English speakers. There are multiple photographs and illustrations at the start of the book to match the words and sounds of the letters giving an introductory vocabulary of the language. This is followed by guided exercises comprising joining letters to make words together with a number of reading and writing exercises. all exercises and examples are explained in English to help comprehend the target language.

À propos de l'auteur
Mrs Zarina Khand has been teaching Urdu for the last 25 years. In addition to basic teaching qulaifications she has gained training in the teaching of ESL (English as a second language), EFL (English as a foreign language) and was granted a PGCE (postgraduate certificate of education) from the University of Strathclyde in 1992. She is an examiner for Edexcel and SQA (Scottish Qulaification Authority). She is an author of a rangeof educational material. Other key works include ; A complete guide for urdu examinations and A textbook for urdu higher and GCE (AS &AL ) level
