Barbara Loraine Fearon is a Jamaican special educator with over 20 years experience working with children with learning difficulties. Barbara Fearon has worked as a regular classroom room teacher, a special education teacher as well as a private tutor for children in the K-6 category. Barbara pursued a Diploma in Special Education at Mico University College majoring in Learning Disabilities. She is also a graduate of Nova Southeastern University where she earned a Masters Degree in Special Education (Exceptional Children Education). Ms Fearon has completed several doctoral degree courses at Northcentral University in the area of Instructional and Curriculum Leadership. Her research interest centered on parental involvement in children’s literacy development. For several years, Barbara has been designing and providing free educational worksheets for teachers through her website Phonicsworld.com. Her work on the Little Stars Educational Workbooks was fueled by her desire to help young children maximize their potential through the use of exciting, developmentally appropriate, and easy to use instructional materials.
